Reporter's Notebook

I really don’t have a journalist that I admire but I have one who interests me and Liz Nagy is the one. Liz started out as a journalist in Charleston, Illinois as an anchor the weekend morning newscast. When she was done with that part of her life, she transferred to WEAR, the ABC affiliate in Pensacola, FL for a news anchor job. Though when Liz came to Miami, FL where she took part in several morning anchor positions in Channel 7 news that lasted for a few years and is there now.

With her level of experience has a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Communications from Elon University which makes her perfect for the career she has right now.

  • How does this current job differ from the journalist’s previous news positions?
    • The only real difference is that now she mostly takes part as a reporter
  • How is this current job similar to the journalist’s previous new positions?
    • Her career now is similar to before because she still does take part in being an anchor. Her past position mainly takes place as anchors and reporters and she does the same nowadays.
  • Is this journalist at the top of his or her career, in your opinion? Explain your answer.
    • She is not at the top of her career, I think that she use to but soon enough she went downhill and well she was arrested for some things and well that’s that.
  • What duties must someone in this person’s position perform?
    • When she writes, she keeps all opinion out of the story and is fair to everyone involved.
